Post Oak's Busy Bee QuiltersPost Oak's Busy Bee Quilters was organized in 1977 in the Sunday School rooms of the Baptist Church with 19 members. In 1979 they moved to the old Methodist Church that had been converted to a Community Center with the money from the sale of the Post Oak School land. The first quilt show was held in May of 1980 with over 150 entries. Since then members have shrunk to 12 with some of them driving 50 miles to attend the weekly meetings. There are three charter members, Marilyn Scarber, Gladys Haley and Wanda Davis. Quilts are made each year and donated to area Fire Departments, local needy people and to the North Texas Rehab Center in Wichita Falls. Come Quilt with UsEvery Thursday from 10 AM to 4PM, the Busy Bee Quilters meet and work on quilting. We have a covered dish potluck for lunch. All skill levels are welcome. *** Annual Quilt Show *** BUSY BEE QUILT SHOW 2010
